Zusammenfassung: As many technologies are focusing on the miniaturization of its products, the ability to pattern at the micro/nano scale over the large areas on material surfaces is critical to the development of next generation technologies. In this work, novel composite nonporous gold (np-Au) stamp for capillary microprinting of polymer melts has been developed. Developed stamp enables printing of polymers from their melts which offers advantages to solution printing because the evaporation of volatile organic solvents is circumvented. The stamp consists of two parts, the porous gold layer with arrays of contact elements on the surface and the polymer layer that serves both as ink reservoir and as stabilizing support for the thin gold film. The continuous network of pores throughout the gold layer connected with the polymer film that serves as ink reservoir enables the stamping in consecutive cycles. First, polystyrene melts were printed on the glass substrates as a proof of concept for the use of composite np-Au in capillary printing. Printing of polystyrene melts has also been used for optimization of the stamping process. Then, printing of ferroelectric polymer poly(vinylidenefluoride)-trifluoroethylene (P(VDF-TrFE)) on glass and aluminium coated Si wafers (Al/Si) was conducted. Printing of both polymer inks was done with different stamping times, and the influence of the stamping time on the dimensions of the deposited structures (diameter and height) was investigated.
